and all through BF's house, the paper pile was mounting.....the gifts unwrapped, the holiday food consumed and suddenly it was over. What happened? How did it end so fast? Listening to all of the holiday music, looking at lights and such and now it's on to New Years Eve. BF had to work today so off I went to do some shopping. Not that I needed anything, just to be out once again in the crowds. The traffic was just as before the holidays, the stores crowded and folks were in fact using their gift cards, taking advantage of sales, and still having fun. Hanukkah continues, still a few nights more to celebrate and light the candles. (I confess, I opened all my gifts already)...The holidays still brings out the kids in us, hopefully....even Buzz, our infamous squirrel made an appearance at the corn feeder today, stuffing his cheeks with corn. The blue jays and woodpeckers also appeared, I guess because of the warm weather. Hope everyone enjoyed whatever/whichever holiday you celebrate and "peace on earth good will to all" prevails.

Miss Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI've dearly missed your daily quips and stories... How wonderful that we have the Internet. I can hear your voice when I read your words. We had a very nice Christmas. It was somewhat sad as my grandparents aren't doing well (and both gave "goodbye" speeches- ugh!), but our entire family was together, even Jared. My new motto is "life is good," and I have been feeling better ever since.
I hope this post finds you well. I miss you dearly. No one else allowed me to fawn over Shu-Lin like you- ha! (We just got pictures taken with Santa; 'twas a hoot!)
Are you in Conroe? I'm feeling a trip to Sam Moon sometime in this next week!
Tiffany - I love Sam Moon.....how about after the first of the year...? we can meet on a Saturday, have lunch and shop and catch-up. Best wishes for a Happy 2009...cls
