Yesterday was the Volunteer Luncheon for Conroe Regional Medical Center. It was held at the Burkshire Plantation Home in downtown Conroe. Lovely old home build in 1935 and finished in 1936. Totally renovated and absolutely lovely. Even tho my taste do not run to anti-belum (sp?), I can certainly appreciate days gone by. There were 75 of us, many awarded updated pins for hour donated, my paltry 30 hours not yet enough for a pin. But I really enjoyed the luncheon and seeing new friends and meeting people that have volunteered at the hospital for 15-20 years. I'm so glad I am doing my "pay it forward". Today's thought from Frederick Engles "An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory". Have a great day.
