Happy Fourth of July, 2010! It's also Sunday and I am taking the liberty of using a Gray Matter that I first used on 11/1/09. It is the most appropriate for today. This Gray Matter appeared in the WSJ October 1982.
For this message, 4,942 letters were received and United mailed 23,559 reprints. When "Dear Abby" or Ann Landers reprint our messages, we know they have reached millions. And when Abigail or Ann say, "Beautiful" as "Dear Abby" did for this one, we know we have done something right.
America is going through some tough times now, but what is new about that? Our Country has become what it is today because of tough and difficult times and the strength of it's people to stand and survive. Long may our beautiful flag wave - long may our people stand and survive. Enjoy the day, but don't neglect to remember WHY we are blessed to have this day!
