Foot and other interesting stuff you need to know...

Soooo, now that I'm slowing down for a few weeks, you dear readers will probably wish I was back to being busy and leaving you alone....:-)
Boot is working out fine, this a.m. I was actually able to enclose it in a trash bag, tape tightly so no water could get in, and have a shower and super head scrubbing. Sure felt good. Yesterday's doctor appointment was a plus, nothing like following directions. Doctor said I was healing nicely...good to hear.
FYI - August 17, 1969, Woodstock Music & Ar Fair concluded near Bethel, N.Y.
Also, bet you didn't know that this August has 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays, 5 Tuesday. It happens only once in every 823 years. So in case you are not around then, at least you know the facts, like it is really important in the grand scheme of things.
My grandson and granddaughter arrive in H'town on Thursday and I am looking forward to seeing them.

Gray Matter Sunday

This Gray Matter appeared in the WSJ January 1983. For this message, United received 12,700 letters and mailed 35,074 reprints. I thought this was a particularly good Gray Matter today because I have been putting off having my foot repaired. Had a bunion removed and hammertoe adjustment. Don't know what I have been waiting for, but finally decided that since my calendar was clear for the next few weeks, I had fun out of excuses. Besides, I'm tired of wearing ugly shoes. Time to shop....
Enjoy the weekend....

More pics from Seattle, Portland & LA

Beautiful colors - flowers - Amtrak Station in Seattle for our 4 hour ride to Portland. Had lunch in the dining car on the train, seats were generous and comfy and the scenery beautiful. so much fun....Everyone should try Amtrak.

Guilty......Seattle, Portland, LA pics

I've been traveling, and neglecting my blogger friends and followers.....also, as way of explaining, I got a new telephone, camera combo. Unfortunately, it's taken me a bunch of times to return to At&t for hands on help. Reading the directions and actually doing the deed, I'm challenged.
The weather in Seattle, Portland and LA was absolutely beautiful. It was tempting not to return to Montgomery/Houston. Low 50's in the am and eve and the warmest it ever was - mid 80's. Heavenly. Pics are downloading, now that I have the camera/phone totally in pieces, I hope you all enjoy them. Pretty much they are all self explanatory. The flowers and fresh air (you can actually breathe and smell things).... unfortunately I don't have smellavision on my blog.
I'll try to get back in the swing of blogging cause I really do enjoy it.
Have a great day!
