It's all about family.....

From Mother's Day at my niece and nephew-in-laws home yesterday.  The little redheads are Alexis and Benjamin.  They bright noise, light, and lots of love to anywhere they are.  My sister looks great also.  It was a very good day.

My favorite sugar free yummy.....

Lots of healthy stuff in this goodie.  Almonds, peanuts, walnuts, cranberries, raisins, dates  and peanut butter Cheerios.  As a member of the Pillsbury Club (go Muffin man), the recipe was different but I adapted it with my choice of nuts, fruits, etc.  No cooking necessary.  After mixing all of the dry ingredients, you melt 2 Tablespoons of margarine, 1/2 c of brown sugar (Spenda brown sugar), a dash of salt and 1/4 c of honey (I use sugar free honey, yes, there is such a thing) in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved, then pour the warm mixture over the dry, mix well and put in a 13 x 9 sprayed pan.  Let sit for 25 minutes, cut and serve.  I personally just freeze the goodie and have some for a snack.  YUMo.....try it, you'll like it!

3rd Largest Casino in the Country

Before returning home last weekend from Ft. Worth, TX., I took a side "road trip" to Thackerville, Oklahoma to spend a day/night at WINDSTAR Casino.  On the inside, from one end to the other, it is one mile long.  And, I walked it several times.  Certainly had my exercise for not only one day but several.  So many machines (over 70,000), restaurants, gift shops, etc, etc, etc.  Met and played with some very nice folks, from OK mostly, a few Texans here and there.  The ride home was uneventful and I was so content from all the food of the weekend, plenty of fun at the casino and happy to be sitting in one place, with the exception of 2 quick pit stops, I made the drive home in just 5 hours.  So many of my gaming friends from H2U always talk about Windstar, I can now say I was there and had mucho fun, plus won a few $$$$'s.  A nice weekend...

What's a Girl suppose to do?

Suddenly, I was out of books!  Went to our public library and after a short reading session with my little friends, I went into the free books room.  Not really free, you make a donation, but it helps the library purchase new books, cd's, tapes, whatever.  A worthy cause plus you find a great selection of books that people have donated or that the library has 2 many copies of.  Loading my book bag after reading a few magazines, I moved on to my next destination.  (not a very good pic - I don't look particularly comfortable on the bench) but one of the ladies entering the library ask if I wanted a picture, so there ya be!  Have a great day and happy reading!
