Can you say

Carotid Endarterectomy?  Thought not unless you  have experienced one.  In essence, it is a type of surgery that is used to prevent strokes or death in people with a blockage or clot in the carotid artery in the neck.
After a week of not feeling well and certainly not being myself, I was rushed to CRMC for test, test and more test.  Four days later I had surgery that ended being more than bargained for.  Several nights in the CCU (Critical Care Unit), I was moved to a room.  And then as a "volunteer" on to the largest, most plush room in the hospital. Fortunately, my heart is 100% strong and good.
Home now, gratefully and regained of my strength and good nature, thanks to all of my friends and neighbors, calls and visits and best of all, PRAYERS!
I have always said that there is a second change for everyone, this is my third chance.  I promise to use it well.  Pay it forward and pay it back.
